              | There are various kinds of glass. In fact, the range of colour and texture is fascinating.
 Stained
glass is usually categorized by the manufacturer. But before
choosing a manufacturer, you must learn what to look for when
choosing glass. This will determine which manufacturer you need
                to go with.
                  When choosing
glass, you have to look for…
                  Surface
Characteristics: What the front surface looks like.

 Back of the Glass:
What the back of the glass looks like but more importantly what
                it feels like.

 Cuttability (to coin a word):
How easy it is to cut the glass.

 Breakage:
 How easy the glass breaks.

 Grindability:
How easy it is to grind the glass on a standard grit head,
that's slightly used and worn. Not all glass grinds the same
                way.

 Foilability:
How easy is it to foil the glass.
